I admit it I am a sucker for pop ups and will be blogging London's latest offerings over the next few weeks!
There's just something about their experimental exclusivity and 'get it before its gone' personality that makes it so much more exciting that your average restaurant.
Well I am happy I've made it back to London before 'When Mac met Cheese' closes it doors.
Only come here if your a Mac and Cheese or Wannabe Mac and Cheese fan, the menu is solely dedicated to those appreciative of this love affair........or that of deep fried oreos (of which I am both)
I started off with the Truffle and Wild Mushroom Macancinis
Quite the surprise...
Goodness factor- think Lindor balls gone savory (yeh that OMG type of feeling) these tasty breaded delights full of flavour and oozing with cheesy goodness...just how I like!
Next up was the Special of the Week
As opposed to what was stated the menu this weekly special was priced at £15 due to the lobster (slightly pricey if I'm honest but it had to be done)
Saving on the washing? (Lads in the kitchen?)
The combination of Lobster and Cheese was brilliant. The lobster gave it a delicious flavour and the cheese was rich and creamy...diet out the window!
By then I was pretty full but Deep Fried Oreos, I don't think I can see that on a menu and not leave space in my tummy for it.
Any Dentists look away now!
Everyone else, Stop...stare...drool
These are great little things oh God Bless America lol...Ok...I could only manage two as they are quite heavy...would be great with a dollop of ice cream to offset the sweetness.
So Mac and Cheese. This is the kind of place you go to once in a while when you want to satisfy a huge craving or impress some friends with somewhere new.
Mac n Cheese tasted authentic and homemade... and correct me if I'm wrong but this is probably one of its kind in London
Definitely somewhere to try at least once, take some cool pics for Insta/Facebook and tick it off your bucket list.
Fun, Quirky and something different. Its only open until 4th July so check in before its to late :-)
